In collaboration with the Chemistry of Life theme at LINXS, the Time-Resolved Methods for Life Sciences (TR+) matrix at MAX IV is delighted to announce the TR+ Conference: From Static to Dynamics.

This conference will bring together researchers exploring one of the central challenges in modern structural and molecular science: moving beyond static snapshots to reveal the dynamic processes that govern function of biomolecules.

The conference will highlight advances in time-resolved synchrotron techniques, including X-ray spectroscopy, scattering, serial crystallography, and multimodal approaches used to probe structural and functional dynamics across multiple length and timescales.

Scientific sessions will focus on the challenges and strategies of performing time-resolved experiments, including sample preparation and delivery, reaction triggering and synchronization, high-throughput data collection, and analysis of large dynamic datasets. Discussions will emphasize how these approaches bridge the gap between static structural information and mechanistic understanding.

The program will feature keynote lectures, scientific presentations, expert discussions, poster sessions, and opportunities to engage with beamline scientists and visit MAX IV facilities.

Allen M. Orville, (XFEL-Hub at Diamond Light Source): “Metalloenzyme structure & function revealed by leveraging large kinetic isotope effects and time-resolved crystallography & spectroscopy” 

The organisers encourage posters from participants, a few posters will be selected for short talks of around 10 minutes, please indicate in the registration form if you would like your poster to be considered for the talk.

Fee: A registration fee of 1000 SEK will be charged for the event. The fee covers all  lunches and coffee breaks and the conference dinner. Participants are expected to arrange for their own travel and stay.
